Scubatec Egypt was founded in 1990 as a limited liability company by a small group of dive-loving friends who had the passion and the drive to develop a business in diving and share in the community of this wonderful sport .

With good knowledge of what was then a much smaller market and through previous years of experience  as dive leaders , Scubatec Egypt grew and developed over the years becoming the business partners in Egypt of leading diving manufacturers in the world namely Bauer Compressors ,  Apeks , Luxfer Cylinders , Problue ,  and others .

And to go in parallel with the vast growth that took place in the diving tourism over the years Scubatec started establishing a network of outlets and service stations throughout the Red Sea , opening Scubatec Hurghada in 1993 , followed by Scubatec  Sharm in 1995 .

In 2002 , and due to the devaluation of the Egyptian Pound against foreign currencies which raised the prices of everything and in a step to keep offering high quality equipment at affordable prices  we decided to utilize our expertise gathered over the years and the technical knowledge and experience our service engineers have acquired to establish the first manufacturing and assembling facility for High Pressure Compressors & Diving Equipment in our region , so "Egypt Compressors" was founded with the support of Bauer to introduce in the market the locally assembled Bauer Compressors
